Parents Association Rusheen National School is very proud to have had a proactive parents association since the late 1970’s. The Parents' Association is a group of parents who work in partnership with the school's Board of Management, Principal, and teachers to ensure the best possible experience for all our pupils. They advise on school policies, support school activities and organise fundraising events to provide resources for the school community. The association is an ideal way for parents to be involved in their children's education and to build a stronger link between home and school. We encourage all parents to get involved in the association. There is a main committee of six members which includes a chairperson and vice chairperson, a secretary and vice secretary and a treasurer and vice treasurer. Generally, the person who takes up a role as ‘vice’ goes on to take up the main role the following year. In recent years the parents have found this works well and it helps to avoid a situation where one person is having to remain on a committee over many years. The committee members for the 25/26 school year are as follows.
